my best friend is currently living with her boyfriend of just over a year. theyve been having some problems recently, but only routine stuff. but shes just sent me a text in the middle of the night saying that he raped her. shes made me promise not to go over there, either to get her away from him or to give him what he deserves, and made me promise to tell nobody. what should i do?

You need to talk to your friend, she obviously isn't thinking straight. She was raped, boyfriend or not... She should go to the police. This guy is dangerous, what could he do next? You don't want this on your head, she needs to get him out of her life asap and get justice.
