Taunting

Hey don't worry about what anyone else thinks. If you have a thing for spiders that's cool. Not many people have a thing for spiders. It makes you unique and if people make fun of you for it they're not worth your time. I'm really into music and that's about it so it's harder for me to relate to people who aren't musicians or aren't into music. I find it's easier to join a conversation than to start one so just join in a conversation about a movie you've seen or something. That's usually a good subject for me because I can say I really like the music in the movie or something and people can relate to that.

Just be interested in what other people are interested in. My brother has an obsession with fish. He has 4 or 5 fishtanks all over our house and I ask him questions about his different fish and his chorals in his salt water tank. And he doesn't play music but he listens to different music than I do so we talk about our musical interests. And he's usually pretty good at telling me what sounds good or bad when I'm writing songs.

I would also suggest finding people with the same interests as you to hang out with.

i have that same problem!! I love Ella Fitzgerald frank Sinatra gun s roses and classical and all of my friends make fun of and this corresponds with my taunting problem I just cant start a conversation cuz ive been labelled "the weird girl" cuz im like reaaaaally into music

Yeah it's funny, my mom actually hates (seriously) music and I was in a program at Berklee this summer and I would go on rants about what I learned and she would have no idea what I was talking about. LOL

hahahaahahaha when i start talking about crescendos and bars and notes all of my friends look at me like I have three heads!! hhahaha
