It doesn't feel like we're dating...

I haven't been dating him for long, only 2 weeks, but it feels like it should be something more. Because of schedule at school, we only see each other once a day and are only way we talk is texting. He's had lacrosse the past two Fridays so that was OK not to hang out, and this Friday i thought we could go to a movie, but he might go out of town with his brother instead. Also, he did say he would love to see me more, but he hasn't said when he would or made an effort. I've thought about breaking up with him, just because i wish it was more, you know, perfect. But this is my first relationship in awhile and my first kiss (I got that pretty late.) I don't want to end it, because I still really like him, and I like thinking that i have a boyfriend. And if it helps, he asked me out, he liked me for awhile and planned asking me out on a trip, so maybe its just what he's used to with me?
