emergency financial aid for sudden illness

  • Jill May 2011
I was diagnosed with Valley Fever last week, I have been unable to work for nearly 2 months. I do not have any type of supplemental pay like short term disability. My doctor is still running test and there is a high possibility that I may have disseminated coccioidomycosis which can be life threatening. I have 2 children to take care of and only get a small amount each month in child support. It is uncertain if or when I will be able to return to work. I have exhausted all the financial help I know of including friends, family, church. I have even tried local agencies like Salvation Army and Phoenix Community Action Programs. I have also tried Googling for assistance with several different terms and phrasing with no success in finding any agencies that will provide financial help until i can go back to work or qualify for social security disability. Are there any agencies or organizations that can help me continue to care for my family?

try calling crisis lines they have lists of organisations that could help you out
    if that doesnt work

try your local member of government they can put you in contact with the right people and they will jump on any chance to get the publicity also you can try the local papers tell your story and ask the public for help many people will come foward to help you you would be supprised and it will also bring out the pollies looking for the media coverage

good luck and hope you get better soon
