My boyfriend

I have been with this guy for over a year, and he has never called me pretty. I told him I loved him, and he said"i know" and he said he wanted to wait until he really meant it. I have been working on myself, and he always tells me I have along way to go to get in shape... and today he said he has never been to fond of my arms. He gets mad a lot, and he goes off on me for no reason sometimes. I am always nice to him, and I have never said anything mean. He just hurts me really bad verbally, but I love him so much that I am not sure what to do. He can be so great, but I really don't know if he could ever love me. When I am away, and I ask him if he misses me... he replies that he misses me in bed. I go above and beyond to do sweet things for him, and he never does much in return. He never calls me sweet names, but he was on the phone with one of his friends that is a girl and he called her "sweetie". I really love him, but I don't know what to think anymore. I need some good advice.
