Should we go out?

Well, I am in eighth grade
I was on facebook and someone i knew from school started talking to me, then asked if i would go out with him. I said that we should get to know each other better. But it turned out that he meant to ask another Haley and just go confused. I said no biggie and we started talking. Later we started playing the question game it went on for like two hours, and he said some really sweet things, like one time i asked him
If you could purchase one thing for yourself with up to a million dollars to spend, and YOU COULD NOT SELL IT, what would it be?
he said i would buy the most expensive piece of jewelry and give it to you.

He also said his goal in life is to make at least one person smile
His most important person in his life is his mom- because without her, the whole family would fall apart.
And so many other sweet things!

I'm starting to like him and i think about the things he said he might be starting to like me too. We live in the same neighborhood even- like up the street from each other. We've known OF each other since 4th grade.

I don't mean to sound mean at all, but the small problem is that some people think he is weird. Like i mentioned him to my friend and she said he was weird. But he is actually really nice!
What should i do??
