What Do I do? Will my friends get in the way?

My friend introduced me to this boy and from the start I thought he was quite cute and nice. We got to know each other a bit more and we go to the same school when ever we see each other we have a chat and a joke. It been about a month since we first met and I really like him him and I think he really likes me. I was thinking about asking him out but I don't think my friends like him very much. Also, I haven't had a boyfriend in a while and I don't know what to do!!!
