Lost love

I'm 20 years old with a son and a boyfriend, very content with my life. But lately, I've been having dreams involving my ex boyfriend of three years ago. He was the one guy I never felt good enough for, the one who got away, the one whose every aspect of his personality amazed me. I'm not sure why these dreams are happening, I haven't talked to him in over six months. We remain friends on a social network, but aren't in any kind of contact. Could it be fate trying to tell me something or have I just been watching too many romantic comedies?
